As rough orientation only: a straightforward cobot cell for machine tending or light palletizing often runs $75,000 to $150,000; a mid-complexity industrial cell $150,000 to $350,000; and a fully integrated multi-robot or end-of-line system beyond that. How to calculate payback

The core formula is simple:

Payback (months) = total system cost ÷ monthly savings

Monthly savings usually combine freed labor, reduced scrap and rework, added throughput, and better uptime. For example, a $150,000 cell that frees roughly $110,000 per year in labor and scrap saves about $9,170 per month, for a payback of about 16 months ($150,000 ÷ $9,170). After that, the savings are yours. These are illustrative figures; your project will differ.
